Imee Marcos responds to Pimentel’s threat to have her arrested

Dahil sa pagfile ni Ilocos Norte Congressman Rudy Fariñas ng House Resolution No. 882 sa House of Congress para imbestigahan si Ilocos Norte Governor Imee Marcos sa alegasyon niya na hindi daw tama ang paggamit ni Imee sa pondo at pagbili ng government vehicles na walang public bidding, pinapatawag na ng House Committee on Good Government and Public Accountability, na pinamumunuan ni Congressman Johnny Pimentel, si Imee na dumalo sa hearing ngayon July 25.

Ayon kay Pimentel,  kapag hindi daw sumipot si Imee ay maaring siya ay ma-contempt at makulong.

Pero ayon kay Imee:

“I have expressed my willingness to cooperate… on the faith that the committee would conduct its current inquiry in accordance with the letter and spirit of Sec. 21, Art. VI of the Constitution—that the inquiry is in aid of legislation and that the rights of persons appearing therein are protected.”
