Manila International Airport (MIA) of 1982
Noong 1972, inihayag ni dating pangulong Ferdinand E. Marcos ang Executive Order No. 381 upang paunlarin ang Manila International Airport (MIA) para matugunan ang pangangailangan sa susunod na henerasyon.
Kaya noong 1973, gumawa ng pagsusuri ang Airways Engineering Corporation. Ang detalye ng disenyo ng proyektong paliparan ay hawak ng Renardet-Sauti/Transplan/
Ang kabuuang disenyo ay tinanggap ng gobyerno noong 1974 at sinang-ayunan naman ng ADB noong September 18, 1975. Pormal na sinimulan ang paggawa ng paliparan noong 1978.
Binuksan naman ang bagong Manila International Airport noong 1982.
Binago ang pangalan ng paliparan nang ipasa ang Republic Act No. 6639 noong August 17, 1987 upang gawing Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).
Pero may mga Pilipino na gustong ibalik sa dating pangalan ang paliparan at gumawa pa sila ng Facebook Page. Sa kasalukuyan may 18,000+ likers na ang naturang FB Page.

[In 1972, President Ferdinand Marcos promulgated Executive Order No. 381, authorizing the development of Manila International Airport (MIA) to meet the needs of the coming decades.
A feasibility study and airport master plan was drawn up in 1973 by Airways Engineering Corporation. The detailed engineering design of the new MIA Development Project (MIADP) was undertaken by Renardet-Sauti/Transplan/
The final engineering design was adopted by the Philippine Government in 1974 and concurred by the ADB on September 18, 1975. Actual work on the project started in the second quarter of 1978.
Manila International Airport finally opened in 1982. The name of the airport was changed to Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) on August 17, 1987 by virtue of Republic Act No. 6639.]
