Sereno’s final decision acquitting the Marcoses was not released to media

Napag-alam ng BagongLipunan.com na hindi nilabas sa media ni Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno, na noon pa ay Associate Justice, ang desisyon ng Korte Suprema, noong February 8, 2012, na nagpawalang-sala sa pamilya ni dating Pangulong Ferdinand E. Marcos (FEM) sa kasong “ill-gotten wealth”.  Umabot pa ng dalawang taon bago ito nalaman ng media noong March 31, 2014.

Ayon sa Manila Standard:

“The decision by then Associate Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno, dated Feb. 8, 2012, was not released to the press. Sereno was named Chief Justice six months later, on Aug. 12, 2012.”
